Tim Metz is our new business leader
Tim Metz has joined Douglas County Bank as Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer.
Metz brings his extensive business lending experience to Douglas County Bank. Metz served for six years as Executive Director of Wakarusa Valley Development, Inc., in Lawrence. Metz returned recently to Lawrence after two years as a commercial lender with a bank in Montrose, Colorado.
Metz earned a degree in biology from the University of Kansas, and a law degree from the Washburn University School of Law. He practiced law in Lawrence prior to joining Wakarusa Valley Development, Inc. He is a graduate of several lending courses and Leadership Lawrence. He has also served as a lecturer for the Small Business Development Center at KU.

Our S. Iowa location, located at 31st and Iowa, has been selected as one of the nine most beautifully landscaped businesses in Lawrence for 2006.
The Master Gardener Commercial Landscaping Award recognizes Lawrence businesses that enhance our community with attractive and creative curb-side landscaping. Thanks to Willowridge Landscaping for helping us earn this recognition!
