Pat Slabaugh, President, joined Douglas County Bank in November, 1983. His time is allocated between customer relationships and developing new business, leadership and daily management of the bank. He attended Emporia State University and is a graduate of the Colorado School of Banking. Pat’s previous community service activities include President of Lawrence Boys and Girls Club, member of Lawrence Memorial Hospital Endowment Finance Committee, Kansas Bankers Association Board of Directors, Kansas Bankers Association Government Affairs Committee, and a graduate of Leadership Lawrence. He currently serves on the Douglas County Bank Board of Directors, Chamber Economic Development Committee, DCCCA Board of Directors and Memorial Hospital Endowment Planned Giving Committee.
Gina Baun, Executive Vice President, joined Douglas County Bank in 1975. She is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the bank. She is the division head for Lending, Retail Service and Information Technology Gina is past president of the Cottonwood Inc. Board of Directors, Wakarusa Valley Development Inc. and Lion’s Club of Lawrence. She has served on many community boards including the Douglas County Chapter of the American Red Cross, Achievement Place for Girls and Century School, Inc. She is a member of the Kansas Livestock Association and a graduate of Leadership Lawrence and the Colorado School of Banking.
Sean Buffum, Senior Vice President, Information Technology, joined Douglas County Bank in 2008 bringing with him 14 years of information technology expertise. He is a graduate of Kansas State University with a bachelor of science in business administration and an emphasis in finance.
Mike Davies, Senior Vice President, Trust Services, has been with Douglas County Bank since April 1984. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and also a law degree from Washburn University. Mike is an attorney and member of the Kansas Bar. He has held leadership positions in the Douglas County Estate Planning Council and is a member of the trust division of the Kansas Bankers Association.
Judy Dinges-Mulford, Senior Vice President, Retail Services, joined Douglas County Bank in September 1998. She has over 33 years of banking experience. Currently Judy oversees the retail and operation services of the bank. She has served on the Lawrence Security Committee and is a graduate of Leadership Lawrence.
Ernesto Hodison, Senior Vice President, Loan Services, has 27 years of banking experience and has been with Douglas County Bank since 1997. He attended the University of Kansas and is a 2009 graduate of the Colorado School of Banking. His responsibilities include commercial loans, commercial real estate loans, consumer real estate, and personal loans as well as duties as senior lender. Ernesto is a graduate of Leadership Lawrence and volunteers his time with Warm Hearts of Douglas County, Lawrence Education Achievement Partners, Leadership Lawrence, and Boy’s and Girl’s Club of which he is past State President.
Tim Metz, Senior Vice President, Loan Services, joined Douglas County Bank three years ago. A resident of Lawrence since 1983, Tim has over nine years of banking experience. He received his undergraduate degree from KU in 1987 and a juris doctorate from Washburn Law in 1994. He is a graduate of the Kansas Schools of Banking Commercial Lending School, and has completed the National Association of Development Companies coursework in SBA loans including closing, packaging, servicing and liquidating. Tim’s duties at Douglas County Bank include commercial real estate, SBA loan expert, and business resumption coordinator. Currently Tim is pursuing an MBA from KU and is a board member for the Friends of the Spencer Museum.
Lisa Stuhlman, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, has been with the bank since 1996 and currently oversees the bank’s finance, investment, accounting and human resources departments. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business, with a minor in economics from Pittsburg State University. Lisa is a graduate of the KBA/NBA School of Banking, Bank Compliance School and the ABA Business of Banking School. In the past she has been the treasurer/secretary for Achievement Place for Girls and is currently involved in Relay for Life and Chamber of Commerce Envoy committee. Lisa has over 30 years of banking experience.
Michael Carlisle, Vice President, Trust Services, has 29 years of experience in personal trust administration and investments. He joined Douglas County Bank in 2003. He received his undergraduate degree in economics from Kansas State University, an MBA from the University of Wyoming and is a graduate of the ABA National Trust School at Northwestern University. He is a member of the Trustee of KSU Foundation and a former board member for the American Heart Association, Kansas Humane Society and the Kansas Bankers Association-Trust Division.
Doug Gaston, Vice President, Real Estate Loan Services, has been in the banking industry in Lawrence, KS for 27 years. He joined Douglas County Bank in 2003 and is responsible for our mortgage lending department, and for helping people buy, build or refinance their homes, as well as rental property financing. He is a graduate of the University of Kansas, the ABA Banking School in the areas of Compliance, Commercial Lending, Consumer Lending and several other AIB certifications. He is a 1994 graduate of Leadership Lawrence and volunteers for the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Lawrence and the Lawrence High Football Backers. His board involvement includes Trinity In-Home Care, American Lung Association (Kansas board), and the Douglas County Extension Executive Board (past president).
Mary Grob, Vice President, Loan Services, has a strong history with Douglas County Bank. She began working with Douglas County Bank during high school through the Office Education Program at Lawrence High. Her tenure at the bank has included being a teller, credit supervisor and head of the bank’s former escrow department. Currently, Mary’s concentration is residential real estate. Mary is on the Housing Selection Committee for Habitat for Humanity and the Housing Committee for Tenants to Homeowners and has served on the City of Lawrence Mayor’s Affordable Housing Taskforce.
Danette Umholtz, Vice President, Account Services, joined Douglas County Bank in 1982 and has held several positions within the bank during that time. She currently manages deposit operations and the Account Services department for the bank. She has more than 35 years of experience in the banking industry. Danette is a graduate of the Kansas Bankers Association’s Advanced School of Banking, serves on the Family Support Committee for Lawrence Habitat for Humanity and is a member of the Lawrence Women’s Network.
Debbie Bott, Assistant Vice President, Branch Coordinator, began her banking career while attending Emporia State University. Since joining Douglas County Bank in 1976 she has held many positions within the bank. After a short stint away to raise her family, Debbie returned to Douglas County Bank as the manager of our South Iowa branch, eventually becoming the branch coordinator a few years ago. Her responsibilities include coaching and staff development, overall management of the branches, and working with branch managers and staff. She has been a volunteer for Relay for Life for the past 10 years.
Gwen Denton, Assistant Vice President, Human Resources, joined the bank in 2001. She is responsible for the overall administration, coordination and implementation of the bank’s Human Resources Department. Her duties include benefit administration, recruitment and hiring, performance management, regulatory programs and reporting and budgeting. Mrs. Denton has over 20 years of specialized Human Resources management experience and received her Associates Degree from Highland Community College. She is a member of the Jayhawk Chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management.
Rich Godbold, Assistant Vice President, Loan Services, has been with Douglas County Bank for over 24 years. He started as a part–time teller and, prior to becoming a lender, held the position of Credit Administrator for the bank’s Credit Department. Mr. Godbold focuses on consumer lending including Protection Connection and commercial debit cards. He is a graduate of the University of Kansas and has completed the ABA Principles of Banking and School of Lending Principles courses.
Peggy Leslie, Assistant Vice President Trust Services/Compliance Officer, is another long term Douglas County Bank employee. Peggy began working at Douglas County Bank in 1978 after graduating from Lawrence High School. She holds an associate degree from Johnson County Community College and graduated from Washburn University summa cum laude. She also graduated from the Cannon Trust School and the Schools of Banking Compliance School, Trust & Financial Services School, and Advance Trust Operations School. She currently is in charge of the trust operations and is the bank’s compliance officer. Peggy volunteers for the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce, Family Promise and the United Way as a campaign executive. She has also held board positions for Headstart, Toys for Tots and Junior Achievement.
